Christmas trees
We drove down to Oregon yesterday and picked up eight Christmas trees! They were all tied up out at the farm, (Amy got them ready) so I tossed them on the top of the Blazer, tied them down and headed back home. With the way the economy is right now some of my brethern at church are struggling and it was a pleasure for Bevin and me to open our little Christmas tree lot! Already a couple of families have come over and picked up their tree. I let my Elders quorum president know we have some left and will be more than happy to go down again next week-end if we need more. Remember everyone that it will be very easy this year to find a family or person that we can "give" to. I feel so blessed this year and want everyone to have a very merry Christmas!

New Tunes
I have been adding new "cuts" to my playlist. It's funny how a song can dredge up old memories. Just listen to the Donny Osmond songs. It reminds me of Memphis and our big house on Matt Cove. My sisters were in love with the Osmonds! How about the Rose Royce song, Wishing on a Star, the Saturday Night Dances at the church in Glendale and scooting closer to the girl you wanted for the "last" dance cause you knew this song was coming.

It's been awhile!
Quick updates from Washington. Jim.....Still doing the same although the Elders Quorum gave hi an assignment to give a five minute presentation on the first and third Sundays each month about the provident living website. I think this is more of a ploy to get him to go to Elders Quorum than for actual information! Arlene..... Started a job at Good Samaritan hospital. She is late for everything in her life except for this. Everyday so far she is at work well in excess of fifteen minutes early. She truly is enjoying working. I think it gives her self worth. We are very proud of her. Bevin.... Started Jr. High!!!! Doing good so far he is taking drama/speech and playing football after school. Of course he still is in scouting and is the first couselour in the Deacons Quroum, What a good boy he is. We are looking forward to November second when our sister will be in town with her husband and the rest of the E-A-G-L-E-S! Go Eagles! I downloaded a virus to my computer and lost all my documents:( Pictures and all so please email links to blogs etc. Over and out.

Nine months of rain
Well summer arrived big time in Washington. It's supposed to get up into the 80s this week-end. I was driving home from the office today and looked out to see Mt. Ranier looking like a postcard. What a gorgeous sight. It's not dark till almost 10:00pm and we are taking full advantage of the daylight and good weather. Bar-b-ques and hanging out outside with family and friends. All the flowers are in full bloom. Next week-end we will take a stroll up to the mountain and chill out at this great little mountain meadow that is so cool! Now I realize why we put up with all the drizzle, clouds, cold weather and rain for nine months. It's just for these next three months and it is worth it!!

Some sunshine!!!
We are getting some good weather finnally! I opened the windows in the living room and turned on the ceiling fan this afternoon. I'll have to shut it when the sun goes down. I think it already dropped to 59 so that's a wrap. Bevin is out of school!!!!! We now have a junior high schooler. Congratulations to him. He got straight B's. Arlene took her first test for Pierce Transit and said she thinks she did well. Also she said she got a warm feeling when she walked out so that counts for something in my books. She has been the one keeping us on our toes when it comes to reading the Book of Mormon as a family so I feel confident it may be the spirit giving her comfort. Either that a warm wind blew on her! Not much more happening up in the Great Northwest at the moment. Bye for now.

Another Week Starts
Hey everyone,
Another week starts in the Pacific Northwest. Overcast and drizzle. Is it ever going to warm up? My most recent job we started is in the dirt stage or I should say mud stage. Oh well, whatever it takes to feed the fam!
Bevin has one more week of school!! We got him a season pass for "Wild Waves" and if it ever warms up he can go with his Aunt Renae and have some fun.
Arlene is hoping to get an interview with Pierce Transit this week. She really wants to get this job, good pay and great benefits. Let's all say a prayer on her behalf.
That's all for now. I have to go meet the inspector at the job site.

Just starting
Hey everyone,
I'm not sure what I'm doing but I'm trying. Arlene, Bevin and I are living in Puyallup, WA. We love it here. Bevin is finishing up 6th grade and I'm just working away to keep us going. Arlene is spending a lot of time with her mother as she is going through chemotherapy and we think it's important to spend as much time as possible with her. I wish I had spent more time with my mom and I don't want Arlene regretting things like I do. Funny how things go. It's so cool to read about Kizzy and the girls that it inspired me to start a blog. Any how I better get cracking. Updates to follow.
