Hey everyone,
I'm not sure what I'm doing but I'm trying. Arlene, Bevin and I are living in Puyallup, WA. We love it here. Bevin is finishing up 6th grade and I'm just working away to keep us going. Arlene is spending a lot of time with her mother as she is going through chemotherapy and we think it's important to spend as much time as possible with her. I wish I had spent more time with my mom and I don't want Arlene regretting things like I do. Funny how things go. It's so cool to read about Kizzy and the girls that it inspired me to start a blog. Any how I better get cracking. Updates to follow.

How lucky we are!!
With the Eagles coming out to Seattle this year we were blessed to be able to share the week-end with our family. Arlene Bevin and I met up withTony and Amy who came up from Oregon. Jeff, Coty and Chase came up from Arizona and Crosby came up from Utah. We had rooms on the top floor of the Westin in Bellevue where the team was staying. On Saturday Tony and I got to go with the team to the stadium to watch the walk thru. Sunday we went down on the field and after a blow-out victory got to meet some of the players. What a great week-end it was! Thanks Tammy and Andy!

Mt. Ranier 2008
Last week we made the hour and a half drive to Mt. Ranier. I guess the last time I went there was later in the year cause there is still snow on the ground where last time there were gorgeous flowers. The ice melt made for some great waterfalls and freezing, or just above freezing water. If you come to the Northwest please take the time to go up there. You won't regret it.

Our trip to Philadelphia
For our first anniversary Arlene and I went to Philadelphia and New York City. Here's the pictures from the Bears and Eagles game. My sister Tammy took us down to the field before the game. What a special time. When we were up in her luxery suite I got all emotional thinking how blessed we were to be able to share such a monumental feat as having a NFL coach in the family. I can say that this was one of the best days of my life!

Sharnacia our niece
This is Arlenes sisters baby Sharnacia Norchelle. If we go a day without seeing this girl we feel like somethings missing. What joy she brings to us. She will spend the night with us at least three times a week. She's just starting to really talk. For six months I've been trying to get her to say uncle Jim but it always comes out da da. Finally last night Bevin and I heard her say it three times. "Uhn Uhn dim." Close enough for me! She's at that touchy stage and if I don't keep my eyes open she will turn off the computer at the worst times! I get so mad and start to go crazy untill I see those big brown eyes and that "pretty face" and my heart melts.

A little bit about the Gorge
If you ever go to Portland, Oregon make sure you drive out to the Columbia River Gorge and see the waterfalls. There are five or six big waterfalls and many hiking trails. Crowne Pointe is the building we stopped at and what a view! There is a history about the gorge and building the highway there. Great view. Then you drive further and see more waterfalls where you can stop along the way and do a little walking and connecting with nature. Whenyou finnally arrive at Multnomah Falls and stand there you can't help but feel very small!!! What a view. There is a lodge that serves some snacks or a very nice restaraunt to sit down in. Then you can hop back on the highway and be back in Portland in twenty minutes. This is why we put up with the rain for nine out of twelve months a year!
